Yotel Boston Hotel Review
Seaport Boston is one of my very favorite parts of the city due to its charm, proximity to the water, excellent restaurants and of course, the hotels. The neighborhood of Seaport is up and coming with so many fabulous openings that don’t seem to be ending anytime soon. I highly recommend staying in the Seaport district as you’ll find anything and everything you need to enjoy a classic Boston experience.
Yotel Boston is a hotel inspired by first-class travel with it’s airplane-like features, colors and tech-savvy approach. The hotel focuses on a tech-forward experience that will make your stay in Boston extra special including contactless check-in, SmartKey, fast WiFi and more. The hotel’s reputation is wrapped up in traveling smarter through innovative design and a technology-emphasis throughout.
The unique hotel has been open and operating since 2007 and is located in airports and cities around the world including London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Amsterdam Schiphol, Times Square in New York City, Seaport, South Boston, Orchard Road, Singapore and more recently, San Francisco, London Clerkenwell, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Miami, Dubai, Geneva, Park City and two hotels in Singapore Changi Airport and Istanbul New Airport.
The Yotel concept came about when the founder was on a first-class flight and sought out to achieve the same kind of luxury through a compact space through clever design and technology. This hotel definitely sets itself apart from other hotels in the area, providing an extremely unique and affordable experience.
Yotel Boston Hotel Review
Yotel Boston Hotel Rooms
When it comes to the Yotel rooms, there are a plethora of options to choose from including a Premium Queen Room, Premium Queen Accessible, Premium Queen View Room, Premium Queen View with Bunk, First Class King and the VIP King Suite View. All the rooms are equipped with standard amenities, comfortable adjustable beds, in-room safe, iron, hair-dryer, air-conditioning, stand-up showers, tvs and views of the city.
What I love the most about the rooms are the innovative, high-tech and NYC-vibe that makes it feel so different from other rooms. The rooms are a bit smaller than other Boston hotels I’ve been to. But the whole point is to provide luxury details in a compact space like that of first-class flying. The touches of purple lights, square-shaped details and decor make it feel like you’re on an airplane ready for your next destination. These rooms are also extremely affordable with their standard room averaging $174 a night and their VIP room $394 a night. This is a steal for such a great hotel experience. And so I highly recommend booking these rooms if you’re looking for a more economical option.

If you need to check in earlier or check out later, you can request to do so for a small fee.

Yotel Boston Hotel Dining
Deck 12
One of the best parts about Yotel Boston is the rooftop deck and views. At Deck 12 you have the opportunity to relax outdoors, order food and drinks and enjoy sweeping views of the city. The rooftop is open year-round (weather permitting) and can also be enjoyed from brunch, to dinner to cocktails.
The rooftop is open mon-Thurs from 5pm-11pm, Friday from 5pm-midnight. Saturday from 10am-midnight and Sunday from 10am-11pm.
Komyuniti
Not only does Yotel have a rooftop but they also have an awesome ground floor bar and restaurant called Komyuniti. This vibey restaurant and bar located in the lobby of the hotel offers weekly events, food, a full bar, tvs, people-watching on the street and comfortable lounges. During my dinner at the restaurant, I tried the delicious wine tasting and charcuterie board, followed by a comfort-food dinner with chicken flautas, salty warm pretzels, the cheesy mac & cheese and the Thai-style chicken and rice. Everything was warm, flavorful and satisfying. I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the atmosphere and also the generous pours for wine!
In addition to the regular menu, Komyuniti also hosts special events every week including Winter Whiskey Mondays and Wine Down Wednesday. For Winter Whiskey Mondays you can enjoy whiskey as a neat pour, in a cocktail and as an ingredient in a delicious bite. Each week, they feature a different core whiskey from Michter’s – Bourbon, Rye, American Whiskey, or Sour Mash. For Wine Down Wednesday you get to celebrate being halfway through the week with wine and cheese. Each week features different wines to try, charcuterie boards, flatbreads and noshes from the menu.
My Review Of The Yotel Boston Hotel
I’ll be honest, I was hesitant to stay at a Yotel property at first because it isn’t the normal mid to high-end luxury hotels that I enjoy most but I was totally surprised and pleased with Yotel Boston. I also wanted to make sure to write a review that is honest and sincere and am so glad I have nothing only good things to say about Yotel Boston. The moment I got there I was impressed with the lobby, decor, atmosphere, customer services and overall feeling of being in the hotel.
The rooms are on the smaller side but are immaculate, well-lit, innovative, tech-savvy and offer a great view of the city. To save space, the bed actually has a remote device to adjust the height of the bed and make it ample for both daytime relaxing and nighttime sleeping. The interiors really do remind me of being on a plane which is such a unique experience and something I haven’t seen done elsewhere.
I absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an affordable option with a high-end experience. Between the rooms, the rooftop, the bar and the restaurant, you have plenty to do and with Yotel being in such a great location, you’ll have everything you need within walking distance.
