The Whitney Hotel In Boston Review
Boston is one of the most historical cities in the United States with culture, charm and beautiful sceneries waiting at every corner. The city has a thriving academic scene between the notorious universities and history. So it’s definitely a great idea to travel to Boston if you’re a history buff. Between the historical brick buildings, cobblestone streets, heavy sports culture, waterfront activities and delicious food, you’ll have an amazing time. I suggest everyone visit Boston at least once, especially since you can cover a lot of ground in a little amount of time.
If you’re looking to experience Boston in luxury in one of the most beautiful and quaint neighborhoods in the city, I highly suggest you stay at The Whitney Hotel Boston. This luxurious boutique hotel located on the corner of Charles Street, seamlessly combines both old and new. It’s also the perfect place to get a feel for the Boston culture and give you a calm retreat after a full day of activities in Boston. I don’t like playing favorites, but The Whitney Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Boston, so far!
The Whitney Hotel In Boston Review
The Whitney Hotel Boston is a sophisticated boutique hotel offering luxury rooms, suites and dining in none other than the iconic neighborhood of Beacon Hill. The exterior of the hotel is quite simple with its brick building and pillars that make it fit in well with the rest of Beacon Hill. While it looks plain from the outside, the interior is a different story. As soon as you walk in you’re enchanted by that classic clean lobby smell, high ceilings, decor with touches of blue, brown and gold, as well as bookshelves, art and also a fireplace with a lounge. The lobby is small, but very impressionable. The hotel has an overall sense of high-end luxury and comfortability which can oftentimes be tough to combine! The Whitney Hotel does it very well.
While the ambiance and overall aesthetics are gorgeous, it’s the staff that makes it even better. They were kind, considerate, funny and accommodating throughout our entire stay. If we had any questions they were happy to help and we even had someone help us to our Ubers with umbrellas when it was raining. Even though we didn’t expect that, it makes all the difference in the world when you stay at a hotel with true hospitality. If you need anything at all, be sure to ask the front desk for assistance.
The Whitney Hotel is named after Henry Melville Whitney who was a prominent Boston industrialist and a one-time owner of the site. It’s been open since June 2019 with it’s stunning 65 guest-rooms that capture sophisticated simplicity and cultured comforts. The goal of the hotel is to leave guests feeling like they are truly experiencing a timeless Boston stay at The Whitney between the architectural details, hospitality and freshly-minted ambiance.

The Whitney Hotel Dining
For dining options you have access to the onsite restaurant, Peregrine, which offers a “refreshing take on classic Italian fare.” The menu focuses on a coastal Mediterranean culinary program with the culture of the Italian islands of Sardinia and Sicily as well as Corsica and Catalonia. With gorgeous wood floors, marble counters, rich blue walls, gold trimmed-frames, stunning light fixtures and plants.
Peregrine offers breakfast, lunch and dinner which you can enjoy downstairs (indoors or outdoors) as well as room service. We experienced dinner at the restaurant during our stay and while I wasn’t crazy about the selection of entrees, they had some delicious mini plates and cocktails to enjoy.

The Whitney Hotel Review
The Whitney Hotel Boston definitely surpassed my expectations. I knew it was going to be nice but I didn’t realize just how luxurious and comfortable the hotel was going to be. Between the architecture, design, location, natural lighting, rooms, amenities and comfortable beds, it was truly a perfect getaway in Boston. What stood out to me the most was how friendly, funny and accommodating the staff was. I love when hotels have staff that are kind, bubbly and so thrilled to make your stay a great one. Coming from an events and hospitality background, it’s always so admirable to see when an event space or hotel does it right. Regardless of where you choose to stay, the people running it and making everything happen are what make the most difference in a good experience vs a bad one.
The hotel lobby is stunning, inviting, warm, cozy and everything you expect to see + more in a luxury hotel. I loved how the hotel kept classic touches of Boston culture throughout the building with brick, blue, gold, and art. The rooms were gorgeous with the comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with luxury bath products. Upon arrival to our room we were greeted with a stack of delicious different-flavored macaroons, a box of rich chocolates from Beacon Hill Chocolates and face masks + nourishing lip balm form Follain. My friend and I fell in love with this brand just by trying it out at the hotel. Then went to check out the store in Beacon Hill and discovered so many amazing luxury products to try. I definitely recommend checking them out.
Overall, we had an amazing time at The Whitney Hotel and have marked it as one of my favorite luxury hotels in Boston.
It’s the perfect place to stay in such a prime location. I also recommend this hotel for friends, couples and those looking to celebrate life in a beautiful city.
