Sally Webster Inn Hotel Review
The Sally Webster Inn is located in the quaint, coastal town of Rockport, Massachusetts. The charming inn offers a modern take on a beautiful antique colonial home with its nostalgic historic features and modern luxury updates. This seaside location makes a wonderful escape from the city whether you’re looking for a staycation or an authentic New England experience from afar. The Inn is the sister property of Addison Choate and truly makes for a great place to stay when you want to explore and experience the coastal village of Rockport.
I highly recommend this Inn for those who love smaller, boutique hotels with historic, European, and authentic experiences in a walkable town. Sally Webster Inn is located in a prime location where you have easy access to downtown. We stayed at the Inn during April on a gorgeous spring weekend before the busy season and had such a lovely time.
The location is within walking distance from shops and restaurants that you’ll want to visit during your stay including art galleries, coffee shops, antique and retail stores, prime seafood spots, ice cream shops, waterfront dining, and of course, all the amazing views.
Sally Webster Inn Hotel Review
This beautiful house, newly renovated, is an 1832 classic colonial home that looks standard from the outside, but offers a pristine, luxurious and colorful experience indoors. It feels like a little summer house vacation as the surrounding area is very friendly, community-like and quiet. There’s a few parking spots in the back of the house and you’ll be able to check in to the Inn using a private code at the front door.
The interiors are covered with colors of green, gold and pink, offering a relaxed, yet playful vibe for guests. There’s a lounge area to the left when you first walk in which is thoughtfully decorated and a bit tiny, but comfortable and pleasant for watching TV or reading a book. It’s nice to be able to have lounge areas separate from your room so you can switch up the atmosphere and perhaps meet other people during your stay, as well.
One of the highlights of this hotel is being able to experience an automated check-in and check-out. The owners operate on a behind-the-scenes model, so you’ll show a valid photo ID and credit card prior to your stay for an easy self-check-in. Once they have everything they need from you as a guest, you’ll be given a code to access both the front-door entry and your room.
Sally Webster Inn is unique from other hotels in the area because of the authentic, historic and exclusive experience you get when staying here. Being that it’s a smaller hotel, rooms fill up quickly and you’ll want to experience the room you like best.
Rooms And Suites
With small boutique hotels comes thoughtful, intentional, and meaningful rooms and suites for your enjoyment. As I mentioned earlier, this cozy, beautiful house newly renovated is a historic yet modern experience with a simplistic and quieter atmosphere that focuses on ambiance and comfort. Each room is designed a little differently with bold colors, bedding, furniture, rugs, and decor that make it unique and personal to the guests staying there. Whether you like brighter tones or darker tones, there’s room for you.
We stayed in Sadie The Goat with a nautical, coastal design with natural lighting, a large king bed, TV, lounge area to do work, a pristine and clean bathroom and other little elements like the shiplapped ceilings, wallpaper and rug that make the room really pop. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side and are best for couples or friends looking to explore Rockport.
Other rooms you have access to include Madame Cheng, Grace O’Malley, Anne Bonny and Mary Read. You can compare room selections with photos here. If you’re interested in booking a room, be sure to do so through my VIP Hotel Booking Tool!
Amenities you have to look forward to include beautiful air-conditioned spaces and rooms, private baths, plush towels, bathrobes, and bed and breakfast-style options included each morning. Breakfast includes continental items like hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and granola, fruit, bagels and cream cheese, croissants, juices, teas, and coffee. I always appreciate any breakfast service at hotels because it makes it so much easier when traveling. Whether you like to get up early or sleep in, it’s such a luxury to have a little breakfast conveniently waiting for you.
Packages
Generally speaking, packages have become more and more popular amongst hotels, especially after the pandemic, in an effort to be able to offer more to guests in terms of comfort and experience. The hospitality industry has been very thoughtful when it comes to making guests feel safe and welcome traveling and staying at hotels which shines through in the packages they offer. Whether it’s an upgrade, a welcome amenity, a bottle of champagne, flowers, activities, discounts for longer stays, etc. there are so many fun additions you can add to make your stay a well-rounded one.
Please note that all special requests must be reserved and confirmed in advance so the team can prepare properly for your arrival!

Bike Rental
I always say, one of the best ways to explore a town is by bike. Addison Choate offers bike rentals for $45 a day which includes a bike, helmet and lock. Since the hotel is in such an ideal location, you can get around pretty easily and cover a lot of ground.

STOCK YOUR FRIDGE CHARCUTERIE PLATTER
Nothing says luxury quite like a fancy charcuterie board, (even better when paired with a bottle of champagne.) You can order a nice platter for your arrival to include a variety of high-quality cheeses, meats, fruits, vegetables, and crackers.
