Royal Blues Hotel Review in Deerfield Beach FL
As someone who loves traveling to Florida; Miami specifically, I wanted to explore beach towns that are a bit more off the beaten path. Deerfield Beach is one of them. While it might not be as popular as Miami or the Florida Keys, Deerfield Beach is an excellent east coast town residing right on the beach that attracts travelers looking for a quiet and quaint getaway in the sunshine. Deerfield Beach is located north of Fort Lauderdale and is considered to be one of the more “chill” beach towns in Florida but also one of the best. In addition, it gets its name from being overrun with deer that used to graze along Hillsboro River. As an award-winning beach, the town is known for clean, clear and also safe swimming conditions. As well as a prominent shops, restaurants and bars along the coast.
To make my experience the most pleasant, I decided to stay at Royal Blues Hotel. A luxury boutique, oceanfront property renowned as the only Relais & Chateaux hotel in Florida. Staying at a sophisticated hotel that has direct access to the beach is the way to do it, if you ask me. The Royal Blues Hotel offers a superb experience with white sand beaches just a few steps away, inspired amenities, thoughtful service,
and elegant dining at the in-house Chanson Restaurant. In fact, each one of the 12 rooms offers oceanfront views. And is also the perfect escape for a girls’ weekend, honeymoons, family vacations, solo trips, and whatever kind of vacation you wish for.
Royal Blues Hotel Review in Deerfield Beach, FL
Between the world-class luxury and exceptional service, Royal Blues Hotel truly stands out from other beachfront hotels. In fact, I had never stayed at such a small luxury hotel that was this close to the ocean. Most luxury beachfront hotels are huge. And you aren’t always guaranteed to get an ocean view from your room. At Royal Blues Hotel, it’s secluded, in extreme proximity to the ocean and you are guaranteed to get an ocean view. Opening the balcony doors and hearing the waves crash was something I haven’t experienced before and it was truly mesmerizing and relaxing.
Royal Blues Hotel has been open to the public since 2014. And is located at 45 NE 21st Ave, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441, a prime location in Deerfield. The hotels’ facade, interiors and overall ambiance are unmatched as every detail is intentional and tells a story. Royal Blues was named by owner Edward Wilson, a Hollywood film and Broadway producer who was obsessed with blue skies, blue oceans, blues music and of course, the color blue. He wanted to incorporate these blue senses into a culturally artistic retreat. Where people could relax and enjoy a truly unique experience.
Royal Blues Hotel Rooms
At The Royal Blues Hotel, you’ll have access to a plethora of room options, all facing the ocean. There are nine regular guest rooms that offer a combination of luxurious textiles that are reminiscent of a luxury yacht along with those panoramic views of the ocean.
The technology in this hotel is one of the most unparalleled I’ve seen in a hotel. Including digital blackout blinds, LED high-definition televisions, personal devices to get all hotel info and order room service, Japanese-style Kohler Numi bidets (intelligent toilets), oversized dual-faucet walk-in showers complete with digitally controlled temperature gauges. The intelligent toilets have a device where you can control the seat, settings as well as play music while you’re in the in the bathroom. Insane! You also have access to lush robes, towels, slippers, and fine Frette bed linens.
Each room comes with a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, Red Flowers bath amenities, gourmet in-room refreshments, complimentary beach services including towels, chairs and umbrellas and a Nespresso coffee machine.
Specific rooms you can book include The Classic Corner, The Classic Terrace and The Corner Terrace. Suites you can also book include the One Bedroom Suites and the amazing Penthouse Suite, offering a more luxurious space with a private patio and bathtub.
Royal Blues Hotel Restaurant
The on-site restaurant Chanson with an elegant atmosphere and ocean views offers a delectable menu featuring seafood and traditional American dishes. This 40-seat restaurant offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. With a great atmosphere, large wine bottle display, fish tank overhead and lots of blue accents.
Breakfast is available from 8-11am and includes fresh-squeezed juices, pastries, and classic selections like French toast, omelets and fruit smoothies. Breakfast is complimentary for all hotel guests! We thoroughly enjoyed placing our breakfast order through the in-room device each morning for a little breakfast in bed experience. It was a fresh, delicious and satisfying way to start the day.
For brunch and lunch you get to order things like fresh oysters, crab-cakes, burgers, salads and more! They have a plethora of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options as well to accommodate dietary needs.
Overall, Chanson Restaurant is famous for its seafood dishes and offers things like Tuna Tartare, Black Caviar, Lobster Rolls, Fish & Chips, Seared Halibut, Florida Seafood Ravioli, Truffle Cauliflower Sea Scallops and more. For dinner, we were also served fresh warm bread with soft butter, the scallops, seared halibut, the seafood raviolis as well as their signature smoking s’mores dessert with a glass of champagne. There’s an extensive wine list with choices for all wine-lovers. So you’re bound to find something you love. Dinner was one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant with good vibes, excellent service and smiling employees.
Royal Blues Hotel Amenities
As I’ve mentioned earlier, the hotel has a plethora of technological advantages. But it also has some pretty amazing amenities in addition. This includes beach services where you will be setup on the beach in front of the hotel with your own chairs, towels and umbrella, a pool deck to take a dip as well as take in the views, yoga classes on Saturdays, champagne happy hour every Wednesday to Sunday night from 3-6pm as well as a spa where you can arrange an on-site massage and/or full-day experience. In fact, this hotel has everything you need to wine, dine and relax in peace.
My Luxury Experience At The Royal Blues Hotel
Overall, I had the most pleasant experience at Royal Blues Hotel due to the incredibly kind staff, interior decor and ambiance, proximity to the ocean, ability to relax and unwind and all the food we got to eat. I had never stayed at a place where as soon as you open the sliding glass doors you are overwhelmed with the sound of crashing waves and the taste of salt on your tongue. We had a view of the downtown street, the pool deck and as far as the horizon of the ocean. It was truly spectacular! The prices for rooms range from $329 – $629 depending on the time of year you stay at the hotel. But the prices are absolutely worth the experience and hospitality you’ll receive when you’re here.
My favorite things about this hotel was the luxury and high-tech feel, the fact that everything was so beautifully decorated with blue, the delicious and fresh breakfast in the mornings, the fine-dining in the evenings and of course the priceless view from the room.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a more low-key, yet lively place to stay on the coast in Florida. There’s so many great beach towns. And this one is definitely worth visiting. I also hope to make it back again soon!
