Plymouth Hotel Miami Review
South Beach Miami is a beautiful, lively and charming place that will always leave you wanting more. This beach city one of the most sought-after summer vacation places in the country and it’s no secret why. It’s famous for its Cuban influences, luxury hotels, sugar-white sands, outdoor dining, fresh seafood, bustling art shows and proximity to nightlife and the beach all at once. It’s the kind of place you can visit over and over again without ever getting tired of it.
I’ve personally been visiting the South Beach, Miami area for years and still have so much left to see! But I’ve been able to experience a lot of great parts that make for a very well-rounded trip, especially when visiting for the first time. There’s amazing restaurants and bars, colorful art deco buildings, classic Miami palm trees, beach clubs, bowling alleys and many other fun activities for both locals and tourists.
I’ve stayed at 3 hotels in South Beach so far and The Plymouth Hotel definitely takes the cake as my favorite one.

While there are a plethora of items to choose from on the menu likes soups, seafood and sushi, we went with the Spicy Tuna & Tempura Flakes roll, crispy brussell sprouts, vegetable fried rice and a bottle of Whispering Angel rosé. Absolutely delicious!
Plymouth Hotel Miami Amenities
I’m a sucker for good amenities at a hotel. Thankfully, The Plymouth has several things to look forward to when staying here. This includes private beach access, the classic Art Deco pool, water sports, a fully-equipped gym, yoga classes, a barefoot bootcamp class, massages, baby accommodations, pet-friendly options and shopping opportunities.
Private beaches
One of the great aspects of staying at a Miami beach hotel, is the access to the private beaches. The Plymouth private beach is between The W and The Setai, where you can catch a ride on The Plymobile, or walk along Collins Park on your way. The hotel also has an exclusive Plymouth beach house where you have the luxury of grabbing a lounge chair and towels to enjoy your day on the beach.
1940s Art Moderne pool
Obviously, one of the main attractions to the Plymouth Hotel is that iconic 1940s Art Moderne pool. With perfect color schemes and Instagram-worthy aesthetics. In fact, this pool made its way to the top 15 jaw-dropping pools in Miami by The New York Times. With its harlequin tiles, peach and brown palette, private cabanas, striped umbrellas and pool bar. This was also my favorite part of the hotel. And honestly the reason I wanted to stay here. The pool area is simply stunning and will make you feel completely relaxed while also getting your buzz on and listening to up-beat music played through the speakers. I suggest requesting a room with a pool view. So you can get a good shot of the pool from the room. It’s just to die for and so Miami!
Water sport activities
In addition to the wonderful access to the beach and pool, The Plymouth can also help arrange water sport activities like jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, parasailing and more. If you’re looking to have a good mix of relaxation and adventure while in Miami, I highly suggest booking at least 1 activity.
Gym
If fitness and health are important to you while you travel like it is for me, then you’ll love to hear about the 24-hour local gym on property. Featuring all equipment and Peleton bikes needed for the perfect workout.
Yoga and bootcamp classes
As if the water sports and gym aren’t enough, The Plymouth also offers yoga and bootcamp classes. You can enjoy yoga classes on the beach at sunset. And a run on the beach through the bootcamp. Due to COVID, these classes are currently unavailable. But will hopefully be back soon!
Massages
If you’re more into relaxing then you’re also in luck because The Plymouth offers poolside or in-room massages. Be sure to contact The Plymouth directly when booking, to schedule your appointment.
Baby accommodations
As for baby accommodations, the Plymouth offers in-room needs like cribs, toys & high-chairs as well as Itavi Childcare program for those looking to explore Miami a bit without the kids. The Itavi Method is a proven program engaging kids with positivity, productivity. And a fun, dynamic and enriching experience for kids. Plymouth Hotel Miami Review
The Plymouth Hotel is hands down my favorite hotel in South Beach, Miami as of now. It has the perfect combination of luxury, amenities, laid-back atmospheres, vibrant colors, beautiful aesthetics and also plenty to do all hours of the day. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were able to enjoy the room, watch movies, swim in the pool, listen to music, have a glass of champagne at happy hour, eat delicious sushi at the restaurant and be greeted by the kind staff throughout the stay.
The poolside and color scheme were most memorable during my experience. And also truly made for a great time. I was able to get stunning photos here that capture the Miami vibe so accurately. I also think compared to other Miami hotels I’ve stayed at, this has the most variety and high-quality options to make your stay a well-rounded one. Overall, I would suggest this hotel to couples, friends and anyone looking for a classic and classy South Beach, Miami experience.
