This convenient, practical and beach-chic hotel is in the perfect location for those looking to experience beach-life and local culture, simultaneously. One element that stood out the most to us about this hotel prior to booking, was the raving reviews online. Everyone had such amazing things to say about the owners and their experience at this hotel. These great compliments were confirmed once we saw for ourselves. The owners and staff are extremely kind, attentive and laid-back. They shared personal stories, gave great suggestions of things to do in the area and made us feel right at home. If you want to experience Santa Barbara with a simple, affordable, intentional and extremely clean hotel, this is the place to be.
The small 20-room layout of the hotel makes for easy navigation with a beautiful heated pool right in the middle. The rooms range from queen, king and double queen, all equipped shower essentials, mini-fridges, lounge areas, TVs and coffee makers. This hotel is perfect for quick romantic getaways with the intention of being outdoors at the beach and exploring the local area.

“Charming Santa Barbara Boutique Hotel on East Beach”
Pacific Crest Hotel is owned and operated by Santa Barbara locals. For a true Santa Barbara local experience, the small 20 room hotel is the place to stay. The super clean rooms have a beachy-chic feeling while not being overdone. The hotel is only a ½ block from Santa Barbara’s famous East Beach and a short walk to Stearn’s Wharf, State Street and the new Funk Zone.
This mid-century building boasts an 80+ degree heated pool in the middle of the property, adding a very special feature to your overall experience.
In the mornings, Santa Barbara Roasting Company Coffee will be waiting in your room. From 8:00-9:30am they also offer coffee and a light continental breakfast. The quaint beach-side location is just minutes from shopping, dining and local attractions like the Urban Wine Trail, Santa Barbara Bowl, Channel Islands National Park, and Stearn’s Wharf and the Santa Barbara Zoo.

Vibe Check
A very quiet, quaint and clean place to enjoy some relaxation in peace while being in proximity to the beach and downtown life. The staff and guests are all kind, respectful and accommodating.
Comfort Level
On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best), the comfort level is at a 4. The bed was clean and comfortable, the room was an ideal size and the area itself was quiet and relaxing.
Views to expect on Property
Being that the hotel is only 2 stories high, you do have the option to overlook the pool from your room, but otherwise there isn’t much to see in all other windows.

While there isn’t any onsite dining options, there are a ton of places close-by as suggested in the “things to do in the area” section.
Best Instagram Spots
The pool/lounge area and the lounge chair in the room are the best options for photo opps.
