Loews Minneapolis Hotel Review
The Loews Minneapolis Hotel is a staple location, as well as one of the top hotels in the state, for Minneapolis. This is my second time staying at a Loews Hotel and it definitely carried its reputation. Loews Hotels is a luxury hotel brand made up of 26 distinctive and pet-friendly hotels around the United States and Canada. Their whole messaging is around “welcoming you like family”. Because they believe hospitality comes from the heart. The hotels are designed with work and play in mind. Allowing you to have a well-rounded experience whether you’re traveling solo, with family, for business, leisure, events or conferences, it’s definitely a great place to stay in a prime location in the city.
This property specifically boasts more than 251 newly renovated rooms and suites. And is just minutes away from the city’s shopping, including Target Field and Nicollet Mall, and entertainment places. It also offers amazing views of the city skyscrapers, venues and gorgeous sunsets that can be seen right from your hotel window. The friendly staff made it even more memorable for us whenever we interacted with them. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those coming into the city for events and conferences, as I did for VeeCon. It offers that luxury, comfortable and functional space. While not being too over-the-top with offerings and amenities when you are busy with plans and activities outside of the hotel.

Scene and Ambiance
The scene and ambiance at Loews Minneapolis can be described as moody, chic, and sophisticated. While walking into the hotel offers an older vibe with a more simplistic design, the restaurant, bar, lounge rooms, and suites are more modern and upscale in terms of design and feel. What I’ve noticed about Loews Hotels in general is they typically offer a more laid-back and unimpressionable lobby to put more focus and emphasis on the other aspects of the hotel that really matter, like the experience, comfort, and dining.
The Loews Hotel properties definitely cater to businesses, weddings, and events most. As they offer more neutral, professional, and modern tones throughout, with an abundance of offerings. There are plenty of services, functional spaces, lounges, restaurants, and bars that are equipped and thoughtfully curated to create that perfect experience.
Rooms And Suites
The Rooms and Suites at Loews Minneapolis are immaculate, stunning, and exquisitely modern to meet your expectations. Since they were recently renovated, they offer that “new” feeling. Making it an overall pleasant experience, regardless of what room you stay in, whether a king room or grand suite. Between the comfortable plush beds, beautiful art pieces, the wide windows with stunning city views, the generous welcome amenity, the spacious bathroom with innovative shower-head and the overall ambiance, it made for the perfect stay in the city.
We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the city where we got to enjoy a glass of wine, snacks, watch some TV, relax. And enjoy a comfortable and cozy atmosphere in between all our busy networking and events at the conference we attended.

Dining
For dining options, you have Cosmos for breakfast and Apothecary Bar & Lounge for dinner, cocktails, and just hanging out. The Apothecary Bar & Lounge is set up living room style. So you can sit and relax wherever you like while getting access to servers, food, and drinks. The space offers a delicious restaurant, a 20-seat library, and a chef’s table. The restaurant specializes in small shareable plates, handcrafted cocktails, local microbrews, and Build Your Own Old Fashioned. There’s a large screen TV, perfect for shows and sporting events. With a high-end and moody atmosphere to enjoy.
We sat at the bar during our stay for a lively and interactive experience and ordered the chicken quesadillas, sweet and spicy shrimp, and a classic caesar salad before heading out for a night in the city. The cocktails were also a hit! I ordered the “Lake Luxury” cocktail equipped with Belvedere “Lake Bartężek” Single Estate Vodka, St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur, ruby red grapefruit juice, citrus, and a splash of La Marca Prosecco. Absolutely delish!

One of the great features of Loews Minneapolis, and Loews properties in general, is their amenity and service offerings. As I mentioned, the space really accommodates meetings and events. And offers a plethora of options to make the experience better. This includes a fully-equipped 24-hour business center, ideal meeting spaces to choose from, audio & visual capabilities with PSAV presentation services, catering and conference capabilities, and concierge service to help you with any request.
Fitness Center
Additional amenities and services offered include a Fitness Center with state-of-the-art equipment. Located on the sixth floor and open 24-hours daily. The Fitness Center offers a full range of cardio-vascular machines, weight-lifting equipment, two fully connected Peloton bikes, complimentary towels, water, and fruit. I’m a sucker for hotel gyms and always try to get in at least one workout when I visit them. I truly believe that the way to be healthy is to make it a daily lifestyle, no matter where you are. I’m very thankful for hotels that keep this important feature in mind!
Family-Friendly
It’s no secret that families are a core part of Loews Hotels. Loews Minneapolis upholds this value of creating amazing experiences for families traveling together by offering comfort, imaginative experiences, versatile cuisine for everyone, assorted games, DVDs and DVD players, children’s books, cribs, and plenty of outlets for devices. Traveling with families of different ages can be difficult. But Loews Minneapolis makes it easy.
Pet-Friendly
Loews maintains its reputation of being a dog-friendly hotel with its VIP (very important pet) program that will make your furry BFF feel right at home too. Pet amenities include gourmet room service menus for cats and dogs prepared by the culinary teams, bedding, leashes, collars, litter boxes, litter, and litter scoopers. You’ll also have access to dog-walking route maps, pet placemats, water bowls, treats, doggie pick-up bags, special treats like rawhide bones, catnip, scratch poles, pet-walking, and pet-sitting services.
I don’t have a dog right now but I am a huge dog lover and will absolutely bring my future dog with me on my hotel stays. I love that more and more hotels are getting on board with this!
