One of the most iconic places to visit in Florida and the United States in general, is none other than Miami Beach. You may be wondering what to wear in Miami but what about when to visit? Thankfully, the best time to visit Miami is year-round! But the most ideal time with the best warm weather and less humidity is during the spring between March and May. Regardless of when you visit Miami, it will almost always be sunny with bits of rain here and there.
Since the weather is great year-round, there’s always plenty to do. Many tourists and locals like to spend the day at the beach, check out the art museums such as the Art Deco Historic District, visit rooftops like Moxy in South Beach, walk along the beautifully paved Miami Boardwalk, browse the buildings and outdoor restaurants on Ocean Drive or grab brunch at places like The Local House.
Visiting Miami is always a great idea as you can never go wrong or run out of things to do. If you’re anything like me, then you want to know what you should wear! Here are a few suggestions for what to wear in Miami, with links available, when packing for your trip.
The vibe
Miami and South Beach in particular are places where it feels like summer all the time. There’s white-sand beaches, crystal clear water, fancy and delicious outdoor dining, beautiful art and building architecture, stunning rooftops views and a party-scene like no other. While you can find some pretty up-scale and expensive spots, for the most part, Miami is quite laid-back and casual. It’s definitely qualified as another city that never sleeps. Be prepared to have fun when you come here.

What to Wear in miami
dresses
Short, fun and bright colored dresses are quite popular in Miami. They’re perfect for any daytime activities whether you’re going to brunch, exploring museums or taking a stroll along the beach. You’ll want to focus on loose-fitting clothes during the day since the sun can be intense. I like wearing dresses with a pattern or design to make it interesting and will usually pair it with a striking pair of sandals, sunglasses and a small beach bag.
Crop tops paired with skirts or pants
Crop tops are one of my favorite articles of clothing that never goes out of style, especially in Miami. Wearing a comfortable high-waisted skirt or pair of pants compliments and dresses up an outfit while keeping it casual at the same time. I’ll usually pair these outfits with fun accessories and sandals or wedges. Head scarves are super popular this season and make for a great accessory year-round when you want to add a little spunk to your look.

rIPPED jeans
A classic and trendy staple for a cooler evening in Miami. I always make sure to have a couple pair of jeans with me as they make for great statement pieces with whatever top you choose to wear. Ripped jeans add flare, attitude and style! I love wearing jeans for a night out whether we are going to dinner or a fancy rooftop for cocktails.

bathing suits & cover ups
Obviously bathing suits for the beach, pools and rooftops are a must. I like wearing bathing suits from Amazon and Pink Lily paired with a cover up, sunglasses and sandals. The iconic Caitlin Covington Miami Polka Dot One-Piece was a HUGE hit on Instagram, so I had to make sure to include this one here. You can find some great quality bikinis on Amazon as well that are great for mixing & matching and are extremely affordable.
