Whoever coined the phrase laid-back luxury is a genius. What exactly is laid-back luxury though? Well, it’s the idea that luxury in itself can take many forms. Luxury doesn’t always have to mean butlers and high price tags. To me, luxury means feeling good, looking good and doing what you want on your own terms.

When I travel, I love fully embracing the local culture while simultaneously experiencing luxury. I love walking the streets, touring historic areas with interesting stories, gazing at the best views/landscapes and finding delicious cheap eats, preferably tacos and margaritas. But I also love staying at high-end hotels, basking in the sun by the luxury pools, experiencing amazing customer service, wearing those luxurious robes and sipping on a glass of champagne. It’s all about balance. It’s all about being laid-back in luxury.
