The most haunted hotels in boston

With some of the oldest and most historic hotels, it's no wonder that so many hotels in Boston are haunted. Here are some of the top ones.

The property was built in 1925, originally housing retired Harvard professors, before becoming one of Boston’s most renowned boutique hotels. Guests at the hotel often report flickering lights and strange noises in the night.

THE ELIOT HOTEL

The building has been standing since 1851 and was once known as The Charles Street Jail. The building stopped being a jail in 1990. But it wasn’t until 2007 when it was renovated and the hotel elements came into play.  There are still preserved elements of the building and jail-like cells and architecture to be spotted throughout.

THE LIBERTY HOTEL

The hotel is family-owned and was built by New York’s Waldorf-Astoria, Lucias Boomer, back in 1900 when the building was actually known as the tallest in Boston.  The hotel is not only historic but also haunted by a former guest

THE LENOX HOTEL

Built in 1912, the Fairmont Copley Plaza was built on the original site of the Museum of Fine Arts and derives its name from the Revolutionary War-era painter John Singleton Copley.  The sixth floor of the hotel is said to be the most haunted of all the floors with guests often complaining of hearing all kinds of strange noises in the night.
