The Row Hotel

The Row Hotel at Assembly Row, Autograph Collection is a classy, modern hotel located at the heart of a flourishing urban neighborhood in Somerville, Massachusetts, a part of the Boston area. This was my first time visiting Somerville, just a bit north of the city. And it quickly made itself on my list of hotels to suggest outside of Boston. Staying here allows you to experience the serenity of the outskirts while still being close enough to the city to enjoy the best of both worlds.

The hotel itself has a sleek and inviting vibe and compliments the surrounding area quite well. It’s located right in Assembly Square with amazing shopping, dining, and entertainment options. I had the opportunity to walk around, do some shopping and dine at the local Greek restaurant, Zo Greek, and it was absolutely fabulous! Hotels are always best when they are within walking distance to cool places.

If you’re looking for a great property a little outside the city or perhaps a hotel to book with credit card points, The Row Hotel is a great hotel to consider!

Rooms & Suites

The rooms & suites at The Row Hotel are nothing short of luxury. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel is the fact that you can smell that fresh, delicious hotel lobby scent all the way upstairs in the hallways and into the rooms. Normally, you can only smell that distinct scent in the lobby! I personally am obsessed with hotel lobby scents and believe it makes a huge difference in the overall experience.

At The Row Hotel, you’ll have access to regular guest rooms with a king bed, regular guest rooms with a double queen bed, larger guest rooms with a king bed, 1 bedroom suites with a corner room, and a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed and sofa bed. All of the rooms and suites include luxury mattresses, crisp linens, HDTVs with the ability to stream Netflix, high-speed internet, room service, heartfelt decor, and thoughtful amenities.

The room I stayed in was large, clean, and extremely modern. I also had a spacious bathroom, closet space, a desk to do work. A couch to relax on by the window, a cozy robe, and a mini-fridge for drinks and leftovers. The hallways were quiet and I slept soundly during my stay here!

Hotel Amenities & Services

Amenities you have to look forward to when you come here include a fitness center, spa, indoor pool, hot tub, meeting space, activities for kids. Aconvenience store, dry cleaning service, laundry, service requests, and guest room entertainment.

The fitness center and pool area is my personal favorite feature because of how functional and pristine the spaces are. The fitness center has all the cardio machines and weight lifting equipment. And the pool area was beautiful and very well taken care of. It also leads outside to a patio with chairs to relax. They include towels and endless water bottles in a cold fridge. Which is always an A+ in my book as someone who always likes to be hydrated.

Restaurants

Reflections

For dining options, you’ll have access to the hotel’s onsite restaurant, Reflections, where they serve breakfast and dinner. They have formal seating in the back, lounge seating in the lobby. As well as a fully equipped bar with bar stools, full menus, views of the lobby, and great vibes.

For breakfast, you can either opt for the buffet standard fixed price or order items directly off the menu. I like savory breakfast items. So I decided to get a healthy and hearty meal right off the menu with eggs, potatoes, and toast. They also had fresh water and juice you can brag yourself. It was delish!

Later in the evening, my friend and I sat at the bar before enjoying dinner in lounge seating and had a great time! We ordered The Garden Stroll cocktail with grapefruit, rose petals vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, agave nectar, and ginger beer as well as their creamy espresso martini. It is one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had.

The dinner menu includes things like soups, snacks, small bites, dishes to share, sandwiches, salads, large platters, and desserts. We went with the pork & cabbage pot stickers, Sunday supper meatball, roasted airline chicken breast, pasta bolognese, and the nocturne strip cake for dessert.

Fall in New England, my way 🍂 Here’s a list to inspire you:
🕯️ Slowing down + moving with intention
☕ A seasonal coffee treat here and there, but mostly homemade! I have a coffee recipe series going, so make sure to save those
🧥 A new sweater or cardigan (everyone needs a favorite one) + cozy Uggs are back
🎃 Pumpkin or apple picking, just one full day at a local farm, maybe a cozy dinner after!
🛒 Fall goodies run at Trader Joe’s (curious about Whole Foods too, TJ’s is still my go-to)
🌳 Getting outside every single day, watching the leaves change, & feeling the air shift September might be the most underrated month in New England. It’s local summer and coastal town life hits different right now. Let me know if you want the October list next month 👀

We call it local’s summer.🥹 The summer to fall weather is the best and so are the vibes. I started living by the coast exactly 1 year ago and my life is forever changed. The beauty, slowness, the peace. It’s unlike anything out there. Comment “Cape Cod” and I’ll send you the link to book a rental property so you too can enjoy a slice of paradise. #capecod #coastalliving

Best day of the year! Stopped by @leyden_street_coffee since they just dropped their fall menu. The Harvest Latte is where it’s at. 🎃 Reminder that decor can be simple! We are constantly fed over the top setups which is beautiful but oftentimes unobtainable so even just adding some fall leaves and candles make all the difference. Cozy over everything 🫶🏻
